Halle Berry, who was replaced by Katherine Heigl in Garry Marshall's upcoming comedy "New Year's Eve," is back in the movie — but in a different role, TheWrap has confirmed.
Berry pulled out of the movie in January to deal with custody issues surrounding her daughter. When that happened, Marshall cast Heigl in the role of Jon Bon Jovi's love interest.
On Wednesday, a judge ruled that Berry may take her daughter, 2-year-old Nahla, to New York while the movie is filmed. The Academy Award-winner was immediately invited to rejoin the cast in the role of a nurse.
"New Year's Eve" is about couples and singles whose lives intertwine one New Year's Eve in New York. On Jan. 31, New Line confirmed that Berry had left the cast.
