Gwyneth Paltrow and the team behind her lifestyle brand goop are taking the conversation about sexual wellness to the next level. On Thursday, Netflix released a trailer for “Sex, Love & goop,” a new unscripted series in which Paltrow and a group of experts counsel couples on sex and relationships.
“It’s one thing to be emotionally vulnerable on camera, but to be sexually vulnerable … we’ve never really seen this before,” Paltrow tells goop contributor and relationship expert Michaela Boehm at the beginning of the trailer.
The new series, which drops Oct. 21, focuses on real couples as they work with experts to explore their bodies and learn methods to enhance their relationships. Ranging from marital strife to body insecurity, each couple comes to the show with unique issues and must work together – with the help of advice, toys and sexy experimentation – to find solutions.
The coaches include a number of sexual health gurus and relationship professionals, including a somatic sexologist, an erotic wholeness coach, relationship experts and an intimacy coach.
Says Paltrow, “Sex, Love & goop” explores what it means to be truly intimate in a relationship: to express your deepest fears and desires and to accept those of your partners. A continuation of goop’s mission to help our audience pursue the ineffable power of their own potential, the show is a toolkit for finding more pleasure and connection in our romantic lives. And it’s full of lessons I wish I’d learned years ago.”
“Sex, Love & goop” is executive produced by Gwyneth Paltrow, Elise Loehnen, Andrew Fried, Shauna Minoprio, Dane Lillegard and Sarina Roma. Boardwalk Pictures produced the series.
