GSN to Air Betty White ‘Match Game’ Marathon Ahead of ‘SNL’

Net schedules seven hours of 88-year-old’s appearances before she hosts “Saturday Night Live”

Betty White is white hot right now, and television executives are tripping over themselves to bottle some of the 88-year-old’s heat.

Ahead of White’s much-anticipated appearance as host of “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, GSN said on Thursday it will air a “Best of Betty White Match Game” marathon.

The seven-hour, 14-episode block will “spotlight the brilliant comedic timing” and “clever ad libs” White exhibited on the show between 1974 and 1977.

And, according to GSN, this:

· Betty demonstrates exotic dancing.
· Betty answers the question, “Every time I go streaking, Allen Ludden makes me wear his [BLANK].”
· The stars throw an ice cube that lands in Betty’s blouse—and all the men volunteer to retrieve it.

The marathon will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.

[Editor’s note: Joe Adalian is off this week.]
