With the Season 15 premiere of “Grey’s Anatomy” just around the corner (Sept. 27, mark your calendars!), ABC has released new photos from the two-part episode and we are here for it. Scroll on for a breakdown of the new photos.
Here’s a first look at Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) in the upcoming season. At the end of Season 14, Amelia had taken teen mom Betty (Peyton Kennedy) — who happens to be the mother of Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd)’s newly adopted baby — who struggles with drug addiction under her wing.
Speaking of Owen — it looks like he’s taking on the single dad role in stride. Here he is bringing in his foster son to Grey Sloan Memorial, who seems to make quick friends with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo).
And it looks like shortly after Mer encounters Owen in the hospital, Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) arrives! Things might get awkward, considering Teddy dropped the bombshell last season that she’s pregnant (and we’re pretty sure Owen is the father). Oh, did we also mention that she’s going to be Interim Chief of Surgery while Bailey (Chandra Wilson) takes a break?
Well, if there is any awkwardness, looks like Teddy is ready to move right on through it and get down to business.
It looks like Dr. Miranda Bailey is enjoying her time off from being chief of surgery. In Season 14, she suffered a heart attack and it has inspired her to live more life outside of the hospital.
The log line for the Season 15 premiere teases that Meredith “is seemingly distracted and struggles to stay focused” in the first hour, while in the second hour, “Meredith bonds with a patient.” This photo looks like we may have found that patient.
Amelia overcame a brain tumor last season, and it looks like she’s doubling down on her brain research in Season 15.
Uh-oh… Why the worried faces?? If we know one thing about life at Grey Sloan Memorial, it’s that the FEELS will hit you soon enough.
More worried faces. Guess we’ll just have to see what drama awaits us in the Season 15 premiere, Sept. 27 on ABC.
