Greg Silverman, president of production at Warner Bros. Pictures, has renewed his contract, Warner Bros. announced Wednesday.
Warner did not release the terms or length of the deal.
Silverman will continue to report to Warner Bros. Pictures Group president Jeff Robinov and have full oversight of the studio's development activities and budget.
He is also charged with seeking, according to the Warner announcement, "new opportunities to diversify and build upon the success the company has consistently achieved."
Silverman joined the Warner as a junior production executive in 1999, and then left for Revolution Studios, where he was senior VP of production.
He returned as VP of production in 2002 and has held the post of production president at Warner Bros. since April.
In a written statement, Robinov said, "Greg has a phenomenal aptitude for fostering filmmaker relationships and discovering new talent around town. He demonstrates incredible leadership toward our creative team, and I am so pleased that he will continue to oversee our slate.”
