The 2023 Grammys took the stage Sunday, Feb. 5 live from Crypto.com Arena, and a number of notable artists performed. Trevor Noah hosted, and while his banter in between presentations will surely be a performance of its own, all eyes are on the performances set to take place.
Several nominees including Lizzo, Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlile and Steve Lacy have been recruited to perform. Bad Bunny, Lizzo, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlile and Harry Styles will compete for Album of the Year. Add in roster member Steve Lacy and you’ve got the performers who are competing for Record of the Year.
Other major nominees who have not been confirmed for performances include Adele, Doja Cat, Beyoncé, ABBA and Taylor Swift. But for now, here’s a complete list of everyone who’s performing at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
Bad Bunny
The artist was nominated for Album of the Year with “Un Verano Sin Ti.” He also recently won big at the 2022 American Music Awards in addition to scoring the MTV moonman for Artist of the year at the 2022 VMAs.
Brandi Carlile
Rocker Brandi Carlile had a horse in the Album of the Year race with “In These Silent Days.” Carlile’s wife and daughters introduced her performance of “Broken Horses” which is nominated for Best Rock Performance.
Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson and Chris Stapleton
The 25-time Grammy winner Stevie wonder took to the stage to perform three tunes — The Temptations’ “The Way You Do the Things You Do,” Smokey Robinson’s “Tears of a Clown” featuring Robinson in a duet and “Higher Ground” from Wonder’s “Innervisions” album. Chris Stapleton joined the two motown stars. Robinson was one of MusiCares’ two Persons of the Year for 2023 along with Motown founder Berry Gordy.
Lizzo
Lizzo will glamorized the Grammys stage with her medley of “It’s About Damn Time” and “Special.” The “Truth Hurts” singer released her sophomore album “Special” last year, and it competed with the others mentioned for Album of the Year. The lead single, “About Damn Time” is nominated for Record of the Year as well as Song of the Year.
Harry Styles
Harry Styles, former member of the boy band One Direction, won the Best Pop Album Grammy for his third solo album “Harry’s House.” The lead single from that album, “As It Was,” had nods for Best Pop Solo Performance, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
Kacey Musgraves, Quavo, Mick Fleetwood, Sheryl Crow and Bonnie Raitt
Kacey Musgraves kicked off the tribute to those musicians in the past year like Loretta Lynn and Naomi Judd. Quavo took the stage alongside Maverick City Music to pay tribute to his Migos partner Takeoff. Bonnie Raitt, accompanied by Sheryl Crow on the piano and Mick Fleetwood on a drum, sang in honor of songbird Christine McVie.
Kim Petras and Sam Smith
Fresh of releasing their latest album “Gloria,” Sam Smith had Kim Petras accept their Best Pop Duo/Group Performance Grammy win for “Unholy,” which they then performed together.
Mary J. Blige
Blige, who rocked the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show at SoFi Stadium, was nominated for both Album and Record of the Year for “Good Morning Gorgeous.”
Questlove
Questlove announced in the lead up to the ceremony that he would co-curate a hip-hop performance to celebrate the genre’s 50th anniversary. Part of an initiative to honor the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.
50 Years of Hip Hop Segment
The Questlove-curated “50 Years of Hip-Hop” segment will feature performances by Big Boi, Busta Rhymes with Spliff Star, De La Soul, DJ Drama, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Missy Elliott, Future, GloRilla, Grandmaster Flash, Grandmaster Mele Mel & Scorpio/Ethiopian King, Ice-T, Lil Baby, Lil Wayne, The Lox, Method Man, Nelly, Public Enemy, Queen Latifah, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby, Rahiem, Rakim, RUN-DMC, Salt-N-Pepa and Spinderella, Scarface, Swizz Beatz, Too $hort and LL Cool J.
Luke Combs
Country singer Luke Combs’ song “Doin’ This” was nominated for Best Country Song. He also hasd a Best Country Duo/Group Performance nod for “Outrunnin’ Your Memory” with Miranda Lambert. This was Combs’ first Grammys performance.
Steve Lacy
Steve Lacy’s “Bad Habit” was nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. His album “Gemini Rights” was nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album.
DJ Khaled, Jay-Z and More
DJ Khaled and Jay-Z will perform their nominated song “God Did,” which also features artists like Lil Wayne, John Legend, Rick Ross and Fridayy. The song is nominated for three awards.
