Screw streaming. CBS has offered its affiliates and owned stations in the Pacific and Mountain time zones the option of broadcasting Feb. 15’s Grammy Awards live.
The 58th Annual Grammy Awards will be hosted again LL Cool J. It was initially set to be broadcast live on the East Coast and central time, beginning at 8 p.m. PT/7, respectively. Now, the Mountain region can opt-in at 6 p.m., and the West Coast will be able to start watching at 5 p.m.
Considering the Grammys actually take place in Los Angeles, the option is only logical.
But don’t fear, Californians who will be stuck at work or in traffic that Monday: Stations in the Pacific timezone that air the event live will also rebroadcast the entire Grammy awards telecast in primetime immediately following the live presentation.
The Grammys will take place at the Staples Center in L.A. The show’s runtime is a robust three-and-a-half hours.
