“The Good Doctor” is in at ABC.
The Freddie Highmore-starring medical drama has landed a full-season order, the network announced Tuesday.
“Good Doctor” is based on a South Korean series of the same name and hails from Sony Pictures Television and ABC Studios. David Shore (“House”) is showrunner and executive produces.
The series is broadcast TV’s most-watched new drama after its first two episodes. Highmore plays Dr. Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome.
“We are thrilled to announce that we are giving our viewers additional episodes of ‘The Good Doctor,’” said ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey.
