She’ll continue to report on business news

Business reporter Bianna Golodryga has been named co-anchor of the weekend edition of “Good Morning America,” ABC News announced on Friday. Golodryga will slide behind into the anchor’s desk beginning this Saturday.

In her new role, Golodryga will also continue to report on the economy, Wall Street, business trends, and financial issues as a correspondent for all ABC News’ broadcasts and platforms, the network said.

At "Good Morning America," Golodryga will join co-anchor Bill Weir, news anchor Ron Claiborne and weather anchor Marysol Castro.

Golodryga signed on with ABC in July 2007 and has served as both a substitute co-anchor and news anchor on "Good Morning America."

Previously, she worked at CNBC for six years, where she was a segment producer for "The Wall Street Journal Report with Maria Bartiromo" and became an on-air correspondent for the business channel in 2006
