Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors to an NBA Championship on Tuesday night — and took down LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in his wake.

The Warriors won Game 6, which aired live on ABC, with a final score of 105-97 to seal their fate at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.

Both Cleveland and Oakland have been title-starved for decades, but it was the Warriors that gave its city the first championship title since 1975.

The victory marked the disappointment for Cavalier fans who had hoped to finally secure their own title following the return of hometown hero James from Miami this season.

After the game, Curry brought his wife and daughter Riley, who has become a social media star in her own right, onto the court to celebrate with hugs and kisses. Meanwhile, James — who scored 32 points in the devastating loss, hurried back to the locker room.

Many thought that King James would still win the Finals MVP award even if the Warriors won, but that honor went to Golden State’s Andre Iguodola, sparking boos from disgruntled Cavalier fans.
