A convergence of Fox's hit musical series "Glee" and fashion-forward chanteuse Lady Gaga doesn't happen every day. And, as might be expected, Fox is planning to do the occasion justice with a special 90-minute episode airing on April 26, the network announced on Wednesday.
The episode, airing from 8-9:30 p.m., will revolve around Matthew Morrison's character, Mr. Schuester, teaching the New Directions glee club "a valuable lesson about self-acceptance and embracing what makes you unique through the music of Lady Gaga." At some point during the 90-minute episode, this will involve the glee club belting out Gaga's recent single "Born This Way," which has been adopted as a gay anthem since its February release.
The episode will also feature a face-off for the prom queen title between Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron) and Lauren Zizes (Ashley Fink).
"Glee" has paid tribute to the "Poker Face" singer before, with a Gaga-inspired episode that ran in May 2010.
Due to the extended "Glee" episode, "Traffic Light" will be preempted, while "Raising Hope" will air at 9:30 p.m., instead of 9.
