‘Game of Thrones’ Author George R.R. Martin Fires Home the First Pitch for Dodgers’ Minor League Team (Video)

The fantasy writer wears a New York Mets hat in his baseball debut

“Game of Thrones” author George R.R. Martin threw out the first pitch for the Isotopes, the Dodgers’ Triple-A baseball affiliate in Albuquerque on Saturday night.

The fantasy writer was greeted by wild cheers as he donned a New York Mets cap and a pair of suspenders.

While the camera cut away from where his pitch landed, the announcer assured the audience this was no 50 Cent redux.

“It’s a good pitch,” he said.
