‘Game of Thrones’: Twitter Set Ablaze by Daenerys’ Biggest Move

Daenerys should not be underestimated. It Is Known. (WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD)

Game of Thrones

(Spoiler alert: Do not read this post if you have not already watched Sunday’s episode of “Game of Thrones.”)

There seems to be a running pattern with Daenerys on “Game of Thrones.” She declares she is the Queen of Dragons. Some dopey khal or slaver disregards this warning and looks down on her because of her gender. Said dope ends up suffering a gruesome death.

That’s exactly what happened at the end of this week’s episode. The Dothraki once again attempted to strip Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) of her power and force her to be a gear in their machine.

Either the khals would sell her off to the slavers, or she would remain a powerless member of the Dosh Khaleen, forced to live in tents with other widows of dead khals until she withered away into old age.

But Daenerys, ever the unshakeable khaleesi, once again refused to play the part others forced upon her. She audaciously defied the khals, recalling when Khal Drogo declared he would conquer Westeros in the very tent where these lesser men were deciding her fate. Then, when the khals declared they would rape her for her insolence… she set the entire place on fire. And set Twitter on fire, too:

Then, just as she did on Drogo’s funeral pyre, Daenerys walked out of the blazing tent naked but unharmed. Once again, The Unburnt is now the leader of a mighty khalasar, with all of the Dothraki bowing before her.

Now all she has to do is retrieve the recovering Drogon, and she will be ready to once again set fire upon the slavers and the Sons of the Harpy threatening Meereen.

Daenerys Targaryen is not to be trifled with. It is known.
