Ned Stark’s execution (Season 1)

Ned had discovered that King Robert’s kids were actually fathered by Jaime Lannister, but the new king Joffrey wouldn’t have any of that talk about his incestuous parentage and took off Ned’s head, sparking a war that that kicked off the larger arc of the show in Westeros.
