“Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke admits there’s a chance Jon Snow could return to the HBO series after his apparent death in the Season 5 finale.
“If I had to bet, I would say it’s a 50/50 chance,” Clarke said in an interview with MTV. “There are some helpful people there who could bring him on back to life.”
But the “Terminator: Genisys” star also admitted that she has no idea what’s going to happen. Because she’s such a terrible liar, Clarke said the writers don’t tell her anything ahead of time. She didn’t even know Kit Harington‘s character was going to be killed until she read it in the script.
“I read the script and I cried,” she said. “I called [showrunners] David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss], and I took Kit out for numerous drinks, and was like, ‘what the… what the… you’re leaving me? You’re abandoning us?’”
“Game of Thrones” wrapped its fifth season earlier this month with the shocking death of Jon Snow, one of the series’ central characters.
The twist sparked a firestorm of debate and speculation about the character’s possible return. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly after the episode, Harington confirmed that he would not be back for Season 6, but with the show expected to finish its run after seven seasons, fans have circulated a number of theories about how the character might return before the end of the series.
