Elmo Ends Cersei and Tyrion’s Feud in Epic ‘Game of Thrones’-‘Sesame Street’ Crossover (Video)

Respect is coming

Sunny day, sweeping the winter away, Elmo is on his way to … solving all the problems plaguing the Seven Kingdoms with a little lesson about respecting each other.

In an epically adorable new mashup between “Game of Thrones” and “Sesame Street” (both HBO programs, by the way), Elmo comes to King’s Landing to try and help Cersei (Lena Headey) and Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) end their years-long feud, once and for all. And, uh, it actually works?

“Excuse, Elmo!” the furry, red resident of Sesame Street says, as he bursts into yet another argument between the feuding Lannister siblings.

Uh, who are you, sir?

“Oh, Elmo is Elmo of Sesame Street,” he tells them. “Elmo thinks that you two need to respect each other. When Elmo has a problem with his friends, like Abby or Cookie Monster, Elmo doesn’t get upset, Elmo listens and learns from what they have to say.”

This resonates with Tyrion who suggests to his sister, “If we stop fighting and work together, we can be stronger. I’m willing to learn and listen if you are.”

“Will Miss Cersei try to listen and understand what Mr. Tyrion is saying?” Elmo asks her.

Not even Cersei could say no to that little Muppet’s face, as she concedes, “I … can try.”

Then they all toast to their “new red friend” — except everyone has a different preference in “toast” here.

The eighth and final season of “Game of Thrones” airs Sundays at 9/8c on HBO.
