“Game of Thrones” co-showrunner David Benioff spoke at the Season 6 premiere Sunday and shared some astonishing numbers about the production. Here they are.
“Game of Thrones” Season 6 shot over 680 hours of dailies — which equals 3.7 million feet of film, Benioff said.
The sixth season was shot in five different countries, including Ireland, Spain, Croatia, Iceland and Canada.
The show employed over 900 crew members in Belfast and 400 in Spain, Benioff said.
Benioff and his-co showrunner, D.B. Weiss, ordered up 140 script revisions for Season 6.
The season was shot with two units, every day for 22 weeks, then three units for 10 weeks, then four units for two weeks.
