Michelle Fairley will rise from the dead on the second season of ABC’s “Resurrection.”
The Irish actress will play a major recurring role on the drama series when it returns on Sept. 28, a show representative told TheWrap.

Fairley will play Margaret Langston, who is described as “the formidable matriarch of the Langston clan … mother of Henry and Fred (Kurtwood Smith, Matt Craven), and dead for over three decades, she will reappear in Arcadia as one of the returned. Margaret brings with her knowledge of the Langston family’s dark past, a past she is determined to keep hidden. Her return will have consequences for the entire family.”
Represented by Paradigm and CAM (UK), Fairley is best known by HBO’s “Game of Thrones” fans as Catelyn Stark, who was killed in the bloodbath dubbed the Red Wedding. She has since moved on to recurring roles on USA’s “Suits” and Fox’s “24” event series, “Live Another Day.”
