A “Game of Thrones”-themed edition of “Carpool Karaoke” is coming — and hopefully we won’t have to wait until winter to see it.
“Game of Thrones” stars Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner took time out from their appearance at South by Southwest Conference & Festivals on Sunday to announce that they will appear in an episode of Apple Music’s “Carpool Karaoke,” based on the popular “Late Late Show With James Corden” segment.
“STARKpool Karaoke? Lane of Thrones?” an announcement on the upcoming series’ Twitter account read.
Williams and Turner, who play Arya and Sansa Stark on the HBO drama “Game of Thrones,” also appeared in a brief video to herald the announcement.
The upcoming series, which is being produced by Corden along with “Late Late Show” producer Ben Winston, will consist of 16 episodes. In each episode, celebrities will ride along with the host as they visit places meaningful to the celebrity, sing tunes from their personal playlists and surprise fans.
Meanwhile, “Game of Thrones” will premiere its seventh season on July 16.
