Gal Gadot Joins Dwayne Johnson’s ‘Red Notice’

Gal Gadot has joined the cast of Dwayne Johnson’s “Red Notice,” an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

Rawson Marshall Thurber is directing the Universal film. Almost every major studio bid on rights to the action comedy, with Universal and Legendary winning out and handing The Rock his career-best paycheck of $22 million.

“Red Notice” will be produced by Beau Flynn through his FlynnPictureCo. with Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia through their Seven Bucks Production banner, along with Thurber, who is writing and directing. Thurber is said to receive an eight-figure salary while the project itself will cost upwards of $125 million.

Universal is aiming for a production start date on “Red Notice” in the spring of 2019, set for release on June 12, 2020.

Gadot is currently working on “Wonder Woman 2,” in which she will reprise her role as Diana Prince. She also played the character in 2017’s “Justice League.”

She is represented by WME and Imprint PR.

Johnson is currently filming “Jungle Cruise” and will next be seen in “Skyscraper” and “Fighting with My Family.” His most recent credits include “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” and “Rampage.”

Johnson is represented by Jonesworks, Viewpoint and WME.
