Fox is saddling its hit new fall series “Sleepy Hollow” with a 2-hour season finale night on Jan. 20, the network said.
After the initial “Sleepy” run coming to a close, Fox is hopeful that Season 2 of “The Following” will fill the period piece’s ample clogs on Monday nights, post-“Almost Human.”
“The Following” will air a previously-announced preview on Jan. 19, following the NFC Championship game, catching new viewers up on the initial run of the Kevin Bacon serial killer thriller. That should help.

“The Following” will hit its regular timeslot with its actual Season 2 premiere on Monday, Jan. 27 and run for 15 straight weeks.
“Sleepy Hollow,” which stars Tom Mison as Ichabod Crane, was the first new show of the fall to get a second season order. It has been a breakout ratings hit for Fox.
“Almost Human” was delayed two weeks in its own midseason premiere, ultimately getting a two-night event on Fox that kicked off following football. To date, it has done modestly well, but is no “Sleepy Hollow” — though few shows have been this fall.
