Fox Ups Earley to President of Marketing & Communications

Joe Earley, a 16-year veteran at the network, was promoted to president, marketing and communications, where he will continue to be responsible for all Fox marketing functions.

He most recently was executive VP, marketing and communications.

Peter Rice, chairman of entertainment for Fox Networks Group, in a statement praised Earley for his most recent campaign for the network's freshman hit show "Glee," saying it exhibited his "combination of strategic, creative and leadership skills."

Earley is responsible for Fox's on-air and off-air promotion and advertising, national media, national promotions, content production and affiliate marketing.

He will continue to have oversight of all aspects of entertainment publicity, corporate communications and talent relations, as well as creative services.

Previously, Earley has held the titles executive VP, publicity, corporate communications and creative services; senior VP, publicity and corporate communications; and VP, entertainment publicity.

He also was director of publicity for several years after joining the network in 1994 as a senior publicist.

Before joining Fox, he spent several years in media relations at HBO.
