Fox Searchlight has acquired North American rights to "Dom Hemingway," the studio said Monday.
The black comedy stars Jude Law, Richard E. Grant ("Withnail & I"), Demian Bichir ("A Better Life") and Emilia Clarke ("Game of Thrones"). It is scheduled to be released in 2014.
Richard Shepard ("The Matador") wrote and directed the film, which follows a safecracker who looks to collect on a debt after his 12-year prison stint ends.
The deal was brokered by Fox Searchlight's Executive Vice President of Worldwide Acquisitions Tony Safford and Senior Vice President of Business Affairs Megan O'Brien, with HanWay Films Managing Director Thorsten Schumacher and COO Jan Spielhoff representing the filmmakers.
The deal also includes other unspecified territories.
