Fox revealed its fall schedule Monday, shifting “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” to Sundays and slating Batman prequel “Gotham” on Monday nights.
First-year comedy “Mulaney” will also run on Sunday evenings, which along with the Golden Globe-winning comedy breaks up Fox’s traditional Sunday night animation block. New reality series “Utopia” will air on Tuesdays and Fridays, Octavia Spencer vehicle “Red Band Society” on Wednesdays and “Gracepoint” on Thursdays.
The announcements came ahead of Fox’s upfront presentation to advertisers in New York City.
Other new series, “Backstrom,” “Bordertown,” “Empire,” “Hieroglyph,” “The Last Man on Earth,” “Wayward Pines” and “Weird Loners” will join the network’s schedule in 2015, as will returning series “American Idol XIV,” “The Following” and “Glee,” among others.

Also announced for the 2014-2015 season are brand-new live specials “Jump of the Century” (working title), “Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution” (working title) and “Grease Live” (working title).
First, on the 40th anniversary of Evel Knievel’s attempt to jump across Idaho’s Snake River Canyon, professional stuntman Eddie Braun and daredevil Big Ed Beckley hope to achieve what Knievel could not by crossing the gaping 2,300-foot-deep canyon. On New Year’s Eve, rapper Pitbull’s party kicks off live at 8 p.m. Then, following local news, “Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution” returns from 11 p.m.-12:30 a.m., produced by Endemol Live and Honey I’m Home. Finally, Fox is throwing it’s T-Birds’ jacket in the ring of live musical performances — a la NBC’s wildly successful “The Sound of Music — with “Grease Live,” a live three-hour production with a young ensemble cast.
Last week, Fox canceled “Dads,” “Rake,” “Enlisted,” “Surviving Jack.” It axed “Almost Human” the prior week.

“Our portfolio of content this year reflects the biggest investment in programming we’ve ever made,” Kevin Reilly, chairman, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company said in a statement. “Fox is redefining the network experience on our air and as a 24/7/365 platform, with distinctive series, addictive event dramas and can’t-miss live specials that will deliver broadcast’s most youthful audience at scale.”
Joe Earley, chief operating officer, Fox, added, “The new series and specials we’re presenting today feature buzzworthy worlds and characters that we think will be the most talked about, liked, tweeted and shared of the season.”
