Fox's fall primetime schedule includes the highly anticipated sci-fi drama "Terra Nova" airing on Mondays and "X Factor" airing Wednesdays and Thursdays, while the J.J. Abrams-produced "Alcatraz" and the "Bones" spin-off "The Finder" will debut in mid-season, the network said Monday.
"Terra Nova" will be Fox's sole new drama for the fall, and will be joined by the new comedies "The New Girl" and "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" (both of which are working titles), and "Allen Gregory," a new animated comedy created by and featuring the voice of Jonah Hill.
The "X Factor" is the sole new unscripted program for fall. "Our fall is scheduled around our new tentpole, 'X Factor,'" said Kevin Reilly, president of entertainment. "It's a massive show and really fun."
In mid-season, "American Idol" will replace "X Factor" on Wednesdays and Thursdays and more new shows will join the lineup: "Alcatraz," "The Finder" and the animated "Napoleon Dynamite."
"The Finder" will take the place of "Bones" when "Bones" star Emily Deschanel goes on maternity leave.
In March, when "Glee" takes a break before its return later in the spring, Fox will debut one of its additional comedies in development, "Family Album" or "Little in Common," and create a four-show live-action comedy block.
Fox has not yet scheduled "Touch," starring Kiefer Sutherland and created by Tim Kring ("Heroes"). The show's pilot is scheduled to filmed in June. The show is shooting late to accomodate Sutherland's appearing on Broadway in "That Championship Season."
"The script blew us away," said Reilly. "Getting Kiefer back on the schedule will be big."
