Fox News Host Wants Obama to ‘Call Gay Athletes’ But Avoid Global Stage (Video)

“Let him call gay athletes, let him do ‘War on Women’ press conferences. Let him talk about birth control and infrastructure,” says contributor Andrea Tantaros, arguing that she’d rather Obama focus on domestic issues than foreign policy

Fox News’ Andrea Tantaros criticized Barack Obama’s foreign policy skills Friday when she suggested his time could be better spent dealing with domestic issues.

The hosts of “The Five” were discussing the President’s schedule in the wake of the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 and several were unhappy he didn’t redirect a higher percentage of his energy toward more internationally pressing problems, like developing problems in the Ukraine and Russia.

Tantaros, however, was more than happy to see Obama steer clear of the international stage.

“I would much rather have him not playing in hard cities where real armies can march,” she said. “Let him call gay athletes, let him do ‘War on Women’ press conferences. Let him talk about birth control and infrastructure. I don’t want him playing on a global stage because hes going to muddle it and mess it up.”

“Everybody hold your nose and hang on,” Tantaros finished, “because the next two years are going to be crazy.”

Some of her Twitter fans apparently agreed:

As TheWrap previously reported, Obama addressed the nation just a few hours after the plane was shot down Thursday over Eastern Ukraine. All 298 people aboard the flight were killed.

“It looks like it may be a terrible tragedy,” the President had said. “Right now we’re working to determine whether there were American citizens on board. That is our first priority.”
