Now that the Disney-Fox merger has closed and “Avengers: Endgame” is finally opening in theaters, when could fans expect to see Fox characters like Wolverine and the X-Men join the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

“It’ll be a while,” Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige told io9 during the recent “Avengers: Endgame” press junket, when asked about bringing the X-Men into the MCU.

“It’s all just beginning and the five-year plan that we’ve been working on, we were working on before any of that was set. So really it’s much more, for us, less about specifics of when and where [the X-Men will appear] right now and more just the comfort factor and how nice it is that they’re home. That they’re all back. But it will be a very long time.”

“Avengers: Endgame” has officially become the all-time top preseller on Fandango, beating the record set in 2015 by “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” Fandango said Thursday.

The ticketing website also reported that more than 8,000 screenings nationwide have sold out, with thousands more being created over the past three weeks to meet the overwhelming demand. In its first week of presales, “Endgame” sold five times as many advance tickets as “Avengers: Infinity War” in the same time period.
