Fox Business Host: ‘I Believe the President Has Said Misogynistic Things’

However, “I don’t think it is up to me to determine whether his heart is steeped in pure dark misogyny,” Lisa Kennedy Montgomery tells TheWrap

Fox Business anchor Lisa Kennedy Montgomery (better known as Kennedy) thinks President Trump’s words were often “misogynistic.”

“I believe the president has said misogynistic things,” she told TheWrap on Wednesday. She stopped short, however, of bluntly declaring him a misogynist.

“I don’t think it is up to me to determine whether his heart is steeped in pure dark misogyny.”

Kennedy added that she always tried to stay in a rational place when evaluating Trump and not allow herself to be taken in by the hysteria found among both his lovers and haters.

While often a ferocious interviewer, Fox’s most notable in-house Libertarian managed to find some kind words for a network rival, “Today” show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie. Kennedy especially praised Guthrie’s treatment of the Matt Lauer sexual misconduct story.

“I really like Savannah Guthrie. I think that she is a very likable person. I found what she had to say about Matt Lauer, I found it very touching. She was very honest about something that was incredibly difficult and she didn’t hold back showing her emotion,” she said.

“It’s really hard to reconcile the person you think you know with the terrifying truth about them,” she added.

Kennedy made her remarks during a larger discussion with TheWrap about her upcoming New Years Eve special with fellow Fox host Jesse Watters. It’s the duo’s first time hosting the big event on Fox News on their own.

Fox News has lost the night to CNN in the ratings for the last five years. The network is clearly pinning their hopes that the chemistry between Kennedy and Watters will be enough dethrone Anderson Cooper and his new counterpart, Andy Cohen.

Cohen — a funny but untested host — is replacing Kathy Griffin who lost her coveted hosting role with Cooper after photos emerged of her holding a bloodied replica of President Trump’s decapitated head.

Kennedy said she smelled blood.

“There’s obviously a great fissure over at CNN and out of desperation they’re throwing Anderson and Andy together,” she said.

“I don’t think that’s going to translate to TV. Jesse and I have this sort of natural chemistry that laboratories have tried to replicate and bottle for decades. Anderson and Andy simply don’t have the same kind of chemistry.”

Time will tell
