Former WCBS anchor Rob Morrison (no relation) pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree threats and disorderly conduct in relation to a domestic dispute with his now estranged wife, Ashley, an anchor at "CBS MoneyWatch," on Wednesday.
A Stamford, Conn. court ordered the newsman to complete two family violence education programs and a substance abuse treatment program over the next two years. After that, according to the terms of Morrison's plea, the charges will be expunged from his record.
Morrison was arrested in his Darien, Conn. home on Feb. 17 and resigned from his morning and noontime anchor post at New York City's CBS affiliate a few days later. Ashley Morrison was observed by police to have red marks on her neck but Rob Morrison will not be prosecuted for a strangling charge, a felony, if he satisfactorily completes the programs.

CBS, reported that the police were called to the family's New York City home 11 times over the years. The couple have one son.
Morrison, who also worked for NBC's New York affiliate for several years, is still unemployed, but told the New York Daily News that he's planning to write a book.
