Charles Michael Davis is returning to Shondaland.
The “Grey’s Anatomy” alum has been cast in a recurring role on Season 2 of ABC’s legal drama “For the People,” a rep for the network confirmed to TheWrap Thursday.
Davis will play Ted, a new investigator in the public defender’s office. He joins a cast that includes Britt Robertson, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Ben Rappaport in the drama, which follows young lawyers in the Southern District of New York Federal Court, also known as “The Mother Court.”
“For the People” also features Susannah Flood, Wesam Keesh, Regé-Jean Page, Ben Shenkman, Hope Davis, Vondie Curtis-Hall and Anna Deavere Smith. Paul Williams Davies created the series, and he executive produces with Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers.
Davis is currently a regular on “Younger,” which will switch from TV Land to the Paramount Network next year for its sixth season. He had a role as Dr. Jason Myers, who briefly dated Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington), on “Grey’s Anatomy” in 2013.
Davis is repped by Gersh and Mary Erickson Management.
Deadline was first to report the news.
