Popular San Francisco-based chef and restaurateur Kathy Fang is bringing the beauty of her Chinese heritage, and the unique qualities of Chinese fusion cuisine to life on a new Food Network docuseries, “Chef Dynasty: House of Fang.”
The six-episode docuseries debuts on Food Network and Discovery+ Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 9 p.m. ET.
The docuseries will follow the two-time “Chopped” champion and her chef father, Peter Fang (a.k.a the “godfather of Chinese cuisine”), as they expand their business and build off the popularity of their San Francisco modern Chinese restaurant, “Fang.” Peter Fang opened traditional Chinese mainstay, House of Nanking, in 1988.
“The Fang family are royalty in the Bay Area — Kathy is an incredible chef, entrepreneur, wife and mom who is dedicated to pushing culinary limits while staying true to her hard-to-please father Peter’s vision,” Jane Latman, president of Home and Food Content and Streaming at Warner Bros. Discovery, said in a statement. “Their push-pull dynamic is sure to resonate with our viewers, who will be charmed and inspired by this family’s business and home life.”
“Chef Dynasty: House of Fang” is produced by Critical Content.
