“Flip or Flop” star Christina El Moussa seems to be having a somber Thursday — and it’s causing waves of concern among the reality TV star’s fans.
A stone-faced photo posted by El Moussa, who’s currently undergoing a divorce from her husband and “Flip or Flop” costar Tarek El Moussa, sparked mixed reactions from her followers on Thursday, with some fans complimenting the HGTV star on her beauty — and seemingly just as many expressing concern for El Moussa.
“Look sad,” one fan responded to the photo, which was published with the hashtag #thursdayvibes.
“U look sad,” another echoed.
“You look a little down in this pic…. ???” Hope your day gets a little brighter!!!” another offered. “Just stay focused on those beautiful babies and you’ll be smiling in no time!”
“Sad eyes, @christinaelmoussa. I wish for you and family the very best. It will all work out,” yet another response observed.
“Smile!!” another devotee encouraged El Moussa. “Everyday is a chance to have a better day than those past. Always forward, never behind!”
“You have beautiful eyes Christina, but they look sad in this picture…hope all will be well for you,” another offered.
Yet other commenters attempted to inject some levity into the social-media conversation, with one joking, “you look like you just had a conversation with Tarek.”
Tarek El Moussa filed for divorce from Christina in January, after the couple announced their split in December.
According to the El Moussas, they broke up following a May incident during which law enforcement responded to a call of a “possibly suicidal male with a gun.” The call was made after Tarek retrieved a gun from the couple’s Orange County, California, home and wandered into Chino Hills State Park.
Tarek told deputies that he headed to the park to “blow off some steam,” and that he brought the gun with him as protection against mountain lions and rattlesnakes.
According to paperwork obtained by TheWrap from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, Christina El Moussa “was crying and shaking” during the incident.
The couple has acknowledged that they have been dating other people since the split, with Christina reportedly taking up with Gary Anderson, a contractor who worked on flipping houses with the couple, according to TMZ. Anderson was reportedly a witness to the gun incident.
The El Moussas, who wed in 2009, have two children, daughter Taylor and son Brayden.
“Flip or Flop,” which premiered in 2013, revolves around the El Moussas, real estate agents who buy distressed properties and renovate them.
In a statement to TheWrap, HGTV, which airs the series, said that the show “will continue production as scheduled.”
“We admire and appreciate Tarek and Christina’s great work on ‘Flip or Flop,’” HGTV said. “When it comes to matters related to their own family, we respect their privacy and honor any decision that works best for them and their children. HGTV is currently airing episodes of ‘Flip or Flop’ and the series will continue production as scheduled.”
