Forget "Man on Fire" — Denzel Washington is piloting a flaming plane plummeting toward a suburban neighborhood.
The new trailer for "Flight," which opens Nov. 2, blinks from the dramatic free-fall to Washington awaking in a hospital bed, only to learn his nearly impossible landing has him being heralded as a hero.
News trucks are waiting for him and grateful passengers want to thank him.
"There is all kinds of news people out here — you're a rock star," John Goodman's character tells him in the hospital. "You will never pay for another drink as long as you live."
The words sting like a shot of straight gin.
His character, pilot Captain William Whitaker, is quickly embroiled in a government investigation after rescue workers identify alcohol in his system — he'd had a drink before the botched flight.
