“Fifty Shades of Grey” parody “Fifty Shades of Black,” a comedy written by Marlon Wayans (“Scary Movie”), has been acquired by Open Road Films for U.S. distribution.

Open Road Films CEO Tom Ortenberg and Stuart Ford, CEO of IM Global — the company producing and financing the movie — announced on Wednesday that “Fifty Shades of Black” will hit theaters on Jan. 29 in 2016.

The project spoofing the Universal box office hit starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson reunites the team behind the “A Haunted House” franchise, including director Michael Tiddes. That comedy, a parody of the “Paranormal Activity” franchise, opened to $19 million at the U.S. box office and took in over $40 million.

Ford is producing alongside Wayans and collaborator Rick Alvarez. IM Global’s Matt Jackson, Glendon Palmer and Steve Squillante are executive producing.

“Our love for Marlon Wayans is unmatched and, along with our friends at IM Global, we can’t wait to introduce the world to Mr. Black,” Ortenberg said in a statement. “We truly couldn’t be more excited about being back in business with Marlon, Rick and the IM Global team.”
