Charlize Theron won’t be the only new pretty face in “Fast 8.” Universal announced on Monday that Scott Eastwood is joining the “Fast and Furious” franchise, too.

Kurt Russell‘s Mr. Nobody has a new protégé. Welcome Scott Eastwood to the Fast family in our next film,” the studio wrote on the movie’s Facebook page.

Russell’s character debuted in “Furious 7,” which was the last movie starring Paul Walker, who died in a car crash during a holiday break from production.

Mr. Nobody is the leader of a covert ops team who agreed to help Dom (Vin Diesel) stop Shaw (Jason Statham) if he can help him prevent another villain, Mose Jakande (Djimon Hounsou) from obtaining a computer program called the God’s Eye.

Not much is known about the plot of the sequel, except that Shaw will return and “Game of Thrones” tough guy Kristofer Hivju will play a henchman of some kind. Theron, who has been linked to the project since February, will play the team of heroic adrenaline junkies’ “greatest adversary ever.”

Those who have seen the actress’ Oscar-winning work in “Monster” should know that description is not a stretch for her, and neither is the action, as Theron wowed audiences last summer in “Mad Max: Fury Road.”

“Fast 8,” directed by F. Gary Gray (“Straight Outta Compton”), hits theaters on April 14, 2017.
