NBCUniversal owned online movie ticket broker Fandango has partnered with NBC sibling “Access Hollywood,” which will air episodes of its awards-themed interview show “Fandango Frontrunners.”
The syndicated entertainment newsmagazine “Access Hollywood” will feature Fandango’s chief correspondent Dave Karger as a guest on the show, providing commentary throughout awards season in addition to airing segments from the “Frontrunners” series. Karger is already a frequent contributor on “Access Hollywood” as part of NBCU’s ongoing synergistic efforts.
“We have a terrific roster of top talent lined up for the new season of ‘Frontrunners’,” said Fandango president Paul Yanover. “This year, we are thrilled to expand our audience reach on television through a first-time partnership with ‘Access Hollywood,’ and digitally through our recent acquisition of MovieClips, the leading movie trailers and content network on YouTube.”

On “Frontrunners,” Karger and his guests explore the stars’ personal journeys, showcasing one pivotal scene from their award-worthy films, and pausing the clip at key moments to dissect their work. Karger also inspires his guests to share defining moments in their careers.
Guests for the series’ upcoming third season include Angelina Jolie (director of “Unbroken”), Reese Witherspoon (“Wild”), Steve Carell (“Foxcatcher”), Eddie Redmayne (“The Theory of Everything”), Ralph Fiennes (“The Grand Budapest Hotel”), Hilary Swank (“The Homesman”) and Benedict Cumberbatch (“The Imitation Game”).
Also featured will be Edward Norton (“Birdman”), Felicity Jones (“The Theory of Everything”), Patricia Arquette (“Boyhood”) and Phil Lord and Chris Miller (writing and directing duo from “The LEGO Movie”) and others.
