Fandango has signed a multi-year contract extension with Cinemark to serve as the theater chain’s exclusive online and mobile ticketing partner, the companies said Monday.
Headquartered in Texas, Cinemark is the country’s third largest exhibitor, boasting 4,400 screens in more than 330 domestic locations. The bulk of those screens will be equipped with mobile ticketing capabilities, Fandango said.

With the contract renewal, Fandango will serve 22,000 screens across the country, which it says accounts for 80 percent of connected theaters in the U.S. Other major customers include Regal and AMC.
“Together with Cinemark we’ve been able to provide millions of movie fans across the country with the latest moviegoer conveniences, including mobile ticketing,” Paul Yanover, president of Fandango, said in a statement. “We look forward to many more years of shared success, working together to innovate and enhance the moviegoing experience for Cinemark’s guests.”
The companies did not say when the new deal will expire.
