Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” continues to fill out its cast, adding Desmond Chiam and Miki Ishikawa to the upcoming Disney+ series.
Marvel/Disney declined to comment on the castings, which were first reported by Deadline. No characters are known at this time.
“Falcon and The Winter Solider” is one of eight planned series from Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios for Disney+, the month-old streaming service. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will reprise their roles from the big-screen Marvel Cinematic Universe that will follow the two in the wake of Steve Rogers’ (Chris Evans) retirement as Captain America. The series also features Wyatt Russell as John Walker and Adepero Oduye in an undisclosed role.
Fellow MCU veterans Emily VanCamp and Daniel Bruhl are also returning as Sharon Carter and Baron Zemo, respectively. “Falcon and The Winter Solider” is expected to premiere next fall.
Chiam is known for his roles on ABC’s short-lived “Reef Break” and Starz’s “Apocalypse Now.” Ishikawa is coming off her role as Amy Yoshida in the second season of AMC’s horror-anthology, “The Terror.”
“Falcon and Winter Soldier” was listed #2 behind CBS All Access’ “Star Trek: Picard” on IMDb’s most-anticipated new shows of 2020, which you can read more about here.
