Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, kicked off a packed conference with a veiled jab at divisive Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
“I hear fearful voices calling for building walls,” Zuckerber said Tuesday. “Instead of building walls, we can help build bridges.”
(Trump may not notice the dig: His preferred social network is Twitter, after all.)
Zuckerberg, speaking speaking at Facebook’s annual F8 developer conference, also said immigration was essential to the economic success of the country.
Trump has proposed building a giant wall along the border with Mexico and has promised to deport more immigrants. He has also Mexico who come to the U.S. are “bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
