Spanish starlet Veronica Echegui will play the female lead opposite Henry Cavill in Summit Entertainment's thriller "The Cold Light of Day," and Emma Hamilton (Cavill's co-star on "The Tudors") has also joined the cast, individuals familiar with the project have told TheWrap.
Echegui is an award-winning actress with more than a dozen Spanish film and television credits to her name, while Hamilton is a British actress who trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and aside from "The Tudors," is perhaps best known for her stage work in London.
Summit and Intrepid Pictures are co-financing the film, which finds Cavill playing a young American whose family is kidnapped while vacationing in Spain.
