Jason Segel co-wrote and stars in the film, which will be directed by James Bobin

EXCLUSIVE

Disney is looking to primetime for actors to join Jason Segel in "The Muppets."

Emmy-winning "Glee" star Jane Lynch has joined the impressive ensemble cast, while "Community's" Donald Glover has also landed a small role in the highly-anticpated movie, an individual familiar with the project has told TheWrap.

"Machete" star Danny Trejo has also been cast, his representation has confirmed to TheWrap.

James Bobin ("Flight of the Conchords") is directing from a script co-written by Nicholas Stoller ("Forgetting Sarah Marshall") and "Muppets" star Jason Segel.

While Glover's role remains unspecified, Lynch will play a prison guard and Trejo will play her prisoner, according to Production Weekly.

Mandeville Films' David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman are producing the picture, which is scheduled for release on Christmas Day next year.

Lynch will soon be seen in Greg Mottola's sci-fi comedy "Paul" alongside "Shaun of the Dead" stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. She'll also voice Aunt May in the upcoming "Ultimate Spider-Man" animated TV series.

Glover was recently seen on the big screen in Dan Eckman's detective comedy "Mystery Team," which I highly reccommend.

Trejo is currently filming Geoffrey Fletcher's assassin drama "Violet & Daisy," and he's also set to appear in the third "Harold & Kumar" movie.

Lynch is represented by Domain Talent for features, while CAA and 3 Arts Entertainment represent Glover.

As for Trejo, he's repped by Gloria Hinojosa at Amsel, Eisenstadt & Frazier Talent Agency.
