John Bolton, former national security adviser to Donald Trump who stepped down in September, has signed a book deal with Simon & Schuster worth approximately $2 million, the Associated Press reported Saturday.

The title, subject, and release date of the book is not known and no other details have been made public. Citing anonymous individuals at Simon & Schuster, AP reports that the deal was signed “over the past few weeks.” Simon & Schuster declined to comment.

With the deal, Bolton will become the third person to parlay a Trump administration job into a lucrative book contract. Former FBI Director James Comey landed a $2 million deal with Macmillan after he was fired by Trump; his best-selling memoir “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership” was released in April, 2018.

And “A Warning,” the Trump tell-all by the anonymous person who claims to be a Trump administration official, and who wrote the New York Times op-ed “I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration,” comes out Nov. 19.

According to AP, Bolton was represented in the deal by the Javelin literary agency, which happens to be the same outfit that represented Comey, and the author of “A Warning.”
