The flaxen-haired television host's contract with ESPN expired this week and after some speculation about her future with the network, an ESPN spokesman confirmed her departure.

"Erin Andrews is leaving ESPN. She did great work for us and we made an aggressive offer to keep her," publicist Mike Humes wrote. "Wish her the best on her next chapter."

Sports Illustrated columnist Richard Deitsch turned the page on that chapter earlier Friday when he reported she was being hotly pursued by Fox's sports network.

Fox Sports declined requests from TheWrap for comment, for now, but encouraged reporters to check back soon.

Andrews, 34, was long a fixture on the football sideline, so it makes sense that Fox Sports — which has invested heavily in its college football operation over the last two years — would want to hire her.
