Full ‘Jersey Shore’ Cast Locked in for Season 4 Despite Spinoffs, MTV Says

Snooki, Pauly D and the rest of the gang will be back and heading to Italy for MTV’s mega-hit

Don't worry: just because "Jersey Shore" breakouts Paul "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley are spreading their wings with new spinoff series doesn't mean that the show that started it all won't still be around.

According to MTV, the upcoming fourth season of "Jersey Shore" is going ahead as scheduled, with all of the celebrated, self-identified guidos and guidettes on board for the next adventure — which, this time around, involves a trip to Italy.

Though scuttlebutt earlier this week had it that filming for the upcoming season had been delayed due to permit troubles, the network says that the season is currently on schedule.

And while drama about contract negotiations has become a mainstay for the series as every new season approaches, with this latest round being no exception, MTV confirms that deals for the fourth season have been secured for the entire cast.

Best of all? While Snooki, Pauly D and JWoww were the first "Jersey"-ites to receive spinoff shows, they likely won't be the last — the network is already considering spinoff options for the other cast members.

Overkill? Maybe — but it's hard to blame MTV for wanting to strike while the iron's hot. The season three finale of "Jersey Shore" in March was the highest-rated finale of all time for the network, with a 7.3 rating in the 12-34 demographic, and 7.6 million total viewers.
