Endgame, FilmDistrict Partner on Mind Transplant Thriller ‘Selfless’

Screenplay by Alex Pastor and David Pastor centers on a wealthy man who takes over the body of a younger one … and the armed mercenaries who chase him

Endgame Entertainment and FilmDistrict have acquired the rights to the transplant thriller “Selfless,” the companies said Monday.

Álex Pastor and David Pastor (“Carriers”) wrote the screenplay for the film, which centers on a wealthy older man who has his mind implanted in a younger man's body. He eventually finds himself on the run from armed mercenaries after unearthing some tawdry secrets about how his new body was acquired.

Endgame Entertainment CEO James D. Stern and FilmDistrict’s Peter Schlessel will produce alongside Ram Bergman. The pair teamed up earlier on Rian Johnson’s upcoming “Looper," which had a similar brain-teasing concept.

“‘Selfless’ is a unique high-concept thriller and exactly what we’re looking for” Stern said in a statement.  “I’m delighted to be working again with our friends at FilmDistrict.”

Endgame and FilmDistrict will co-finance the production, with FilmDistrict handling U.S. distribution of the film.
