Endeavor Hires Ex-Ebay Exec Guy Schory as First Chief Digital Officer
He will help operate the company’s recently launched streaming business Endeavor Streaming
Endeavor has appointed former eBay and PayPal executive Guy Schory as its first chief digital officer, the company announced Wednesday.
In the newly created role, Schory will lead the company’s digital efforts across product management, marketing, data platforms, advertising and commerce. He will also operate Endeavor’s digital direct-to-consumer and business-to-business divisions, including Endeavor Streaming, a recently created video streaming distribution company for live and on-demand sports and entertainment content.
“As Endeavor continues to evolve, our ability to create innovative digital businesses, products and experiences for our clients and platform matters now more than ever,” Ari Emanuel, CEO of Endeavor, said. “Guy is a strategic executive who has the experience operating world-class businesses at scale and the expertise required to take us to the next level.”
“Endeavor is uniquely positioned to deliver exceptional digital products and experiences for a wide variety of audiences given our global network across entertainment, sports and content,” Schory said. “I’m excited to be joining at a key inflection point for the business and look forward to leading Endeavor’s continued evolution in this space.”
Schory previously served in several leadership roles at eBay and PayPal, where he led global strategic initiatives focused on scaling capabilities in commerce and payments, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships and innovation programs. Since leaving eBay in 2016, Schory has been serving on the board of directors for BlueVoyant, a cybersecurity company, and Timbuk2, a San Francisco-based bag manufacturer.
