Oscar-nominated actress Gabourey Sidibe is penning a memoir that will include personal stories detailing her struggle with depression, style choices and family life.
Known for her witty remarks and unbreakable self confidence, Sidibe’s memoir is expected to provide a honest and lighthearted look into the 32-year-old star’s life.
“I’ve been writing since I was a child, and have always had so many stories to tell that are too long, shady, and impolite to share in interviews,” she said in a statement. “It brings me much joy to add Published Writer to my resume of Actor and part-time Foot Model.”
The currently untitled book will be published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in 2017.
