After just two episodes, CBS banished “Million Dollar Mile” to Saturdays. Repercussions of that move were felt on Wednesday, when the network was dragged down by an “NCIS” rerun in the time slot.
Fox finished first in the key 18-49 demographic last night, despite a low “Empire.” CBS and ABC settled for a second-place tie there. NBC aired all “Chicago” show repeats.
CBS finished first in total viewers, and “Survivor” was primetime’s top show outright.
Fox was first in ratings with a 1.0 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, but fourth in total viewers with an average of 3.5 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Empire” at 8 p.m. landed a 1.1/5 and 3.8 million viewers. At 9, “Star” had a 0.9/4 and 3.2 million viewers.
CBS and ABC tied for second in ratings, both with a 0.9/4. CBS was first in total viewers with 5.4 million, ABC was third with 3.8 million.
For CBS, “Survivor” at 8 posted a 1.5/7 and 7.6 million viewers. Following the 9 o’clock “NCIS” rerun, “SEAL Team” at 10 got a 0.6/3 and 4.5 million viewers.
For ABC, “The Goldbergs” at 8 had a 1.1/6 and 4.6 million viewers. “Schooled” at 8:30 got a 0.9/4 and 3.8 million viewers. At 9, “Modern Family” put up a 1.2/5 and 4.8 million viewers. At 9:30, “Single Parents” received a 0.8/3 and 3.2 million viewers. “Whiskey Cavalier” at 10 closed primetime with a 0.6/3 and 3.1 million viewers.
NBC was fourth in ratings with a 0.5/3, but second in viewers with 3.9 million.
Univision and Telemundo tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.4/2. Univision was fifth in total viewers with 1.4 million, Telemundo was sixth with 1.1 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 642,000. Following a rerun, “Jane the Virgin” at 9 managed a 0.2/1 and 604,000 viewers.
