“Empire” creator Lee Daniels says the Wednesday finale of Fox’s mega-hit will have more of the good stuff, including steamy sex scenes.
When TheWrap asked whether it was true that Fox’s midseason juggernaut finale will also include a murder, Daniels simply said, “maybe.”
But it seems “The Butler” director is not a fan of teasing his fans. When TheWrap drilled him for more details, Daniels begged for a reprieve.
“Oh don’t make me,” he asked during the show’s big red carpet event in Downtown Los Angeles.
Asked what his favorite Cookie line of the entire season was, Daniels said, “The streets aren’t made for everybody; that’s why they made sidewalks.”
“Empire,” starring Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard, has been dubbed “‘Dynasty’ set in today’s hip-hop scene.” The show has broken Nielsen records as the first series since 1991 to grow its audience with every episode.
“I think the networks and the studios have underestimated the intelligence of the American public,” Daniels told TheWrap. “White people want to see people that aren’t their color, black people that are their color.”
And then, we got Daniels to sing us his favorite shower tune.
