The Ernst & Young accountants who protect the Emmy ballots got a jolt of energy as they made their annual appearance onstage this year as they were joined by Leslie Jones.
The “Ghostbusters” star got personal, referencing the recent hacking of her Twitter and personal website, and the leak of her personal info and nude photos — all in the name of comedy.
“Since you’re good at keeping things safe, I got a job for you: My Twitter account,” she said to the accountants. “Put that in the vault please! You’re over here using your skills to protect Best Voiceover in French Sitcom, meanwhile I’m butt naked on CNN,” she quipped.
The hacker(s) commandeered Jones’ Tumblr site on the morning of Aug. 24, posting personal photos from her iCloud account, which included several nude shots, as well as pictures of her passport and driver license. Jones’ phone number and the password to her Twitter account were also displayed.
“I just wanted to feel beautiful, y’all,” she said during the Emmys of her nude photos. “Can a sister feel beautiful?”
